Living art store7/1/2023 “Where words are restrained, the eyes often talk a great deal” (Samuel Richardson)ĭrawing Lips was important because they express the emotions growing within, they add beauty as well as complete every painting that contains eyes. Living Art Store provides indoor Air plant creations that look amazing, improve the air you breath, are easy to maintain and brightening up any space. When framing the painting, it could be hung vertically or horizontally depending on the viewers taste.Įyes reveal the beauty within, it also reveals worries and suffering, Happy souls have eyes that sparkle like stars at night and reflect the rainbow colours, while, Worried and tired souls have pale, shady, and empty eyes, therefore in this series there are lovely bright eyes as well as suffering, pale, sad eyes. In most of the paintings, you will see eyes in four directions I deliberately drew them to give the feeling that they are looking everywhere, seeing everything. I painted layers and layers of eyes and lips in some paintings to create complicating background for confused feelings. The iris of the eye fusions with the background to make them special such as a jewel, I also used different colours of acrylic markers to draw a few details or write words.īackgrounds with grey or dark blue used to convey waiting or depression, for peaceful mind or happiness I used pastel or more shiny background. Acrylic is the medium used with adopting gestural abstraction as one of the techniques, along with brush and palette knife to create the layers. Many of the compositions begin as chosen the correct background and the best quotes, and transform into a journal of personal feelings and emotions developed while working on it, as well as thoughts, and expressions. I used old paintings of watercolour or acrylic paintings, done between 2009 to 2012, that had strong memories to me, and painted on them to transform my feelings of this series. The inspiration of this series developed from the following quote “When a woman is talking to you, listen to what she says with her eyes”. This series is to present feelings through drawing eyes and lips, I felt no need to draw all the faces to express feelings, eyes are more than enough, it is the soul’s clear mirror and through them, the truth cannot be hidden. This work is an interpretation of how I feel and understands the emotions around me as well as how I react to them. This current body of work walks the line of honesty and intention by portraying the complexity of emotions from one person to another.
